Foxglenn Park

Foxglenn Park

About

Playground • Outdoor • Free

Foxglenn Park is a neighborhood park on East Butler Avenue that's especially nice for smaller kids, from toddlers through tweens. The playground is designed with little ones in mind, and there's a skate track, soccer fields, a softball field, and basketball courts for older kids. A 1.9-mile FUTS trail connects right through a prairie dog colony — your kids will love spotting them — and there are charming Children's Garden sculptures tucked in here. Entrance is free from dawn to dusk, with parking, restrooms, picnic tables, a water fountain, and dogs welcome. The park is wheelchair- and stroller-accessible. Shade is only partial, so pack sun cover for midday.

Local tip

Paw-picked by Scout

Walk the FUTS loop through the prairie dog colony — seven interpretive signs turn it into a free science lesson, and the dogs are chattiest on warm mornings.
