Basecamp at Snowbowl

Basecamp at Snowbowl

About

Family Lodging • $$

Twenty-two renovated cabins and lodge rooms at the junction of US-180 and Snowbowl Road — the closest beds to the mountain. The deal-sweeteners are real: winter stays include two Snowbowl lift tickets, and summer stays include a free scenic gondola ride per guest each night. Evenings mean fire pits, a half basketball court, disc golf, and the Basecamp Restaurant & Bar, which opens at 3 pm daily. Rooms are cozy and intentionally simple — most sleep four at most, and there's no breakfast on site or nearby, so pack a cooler for mornings. Select rooms take dogs for $15 a night. In winter, budget extra time for a snowy Snowbowl Road.

Scout’s tip

Paw-picked by the KFF team

Stock a breakfast cooler in town before you drive up — the restaurant doesn't open until 3 pm and it's twenty minutes back to a grocery store. The included gondola ride at sunset is the summer move.
