An Arizona institution, and a great one for budget-conscious families. Used books, music, movies, video games, and musical instruments — you name it. You can trade in your own stuff for cash or credit, which is a nice bonus. A fun place to browse, especially if your kids are into reading or gaming. The Flagstaff shop is on Riordan Ranch Street, with parking and restrooms on site, and it's wheelchair- and stroller-accessible. Hours are generous: 9am to 8pm most days, 9pm Friday and Saturday. Educational browsing is the point, but the aisles are deep, used stock changes constantly, and a quick look can easily eat an hour — especially if someone disappears into games or instruments. Set a time limit before you walk in, and decide cash or store credit at the trade-in counter so you're not negotiating with a restless kid in line.
