Top Family-Friendly Shops in Flagstaff
Flagstaff has several locally owned shops that focus on kids, families, and hands-on experiences. These stores are favorites for local families and visitors looking for toys, books, activities, or baby gear.

Toys • $$
The only store in Northern Arizona dedicated to comic books, and it's a paradise for the right kid. Comics, tabletop gaming, Magic: The Gathering, action figures, Pop figures, and board games — it's all here. If your family has a comic or gaming enthusiast, this is their store. You'll find them on South Milton Road, with parking and restrooms on site, and the shop is wheelchair- and stroller-accessible. Hours are the catch: Monday and Tuesday they open at 11am and close at 3pm, Wednesday through Saturday they run 11am to 7pm, and Sunday is only noon to 4pm. Don't show up after school on a Monday expecting a long browse. Activities and tabletop gaming keep older kids busy; toddlers and preschoolers may be less engaged unless they're into figures. Plan around those short weekday hours.
Local tip
Ask about the kids' reading rewards — every five comics your kid reads earns a free comic or $5 off a $10 item.
