The observatory where Pluto was discovered — and yes, your kids will think that's awesome. The Marley Foundation Astronomy Discovery Center has interactive exhibits, planetarium shows, constellation tours, telescope viewing sessions, demonstrations, and workshops. It's a hands-on, curiosity-driven experience that works especially well for preschoolers through tweens who like asking "why." Admission is required ($$). The campus is stroller- and wheelchair-accessible, with restrooms, parking, and a gift shop, and you'll move between indoor exhibits and outdoor viewing. Hours run 1pm to 11pm Monday and Wednesday through Sunday; it's closed Tuesday. That late open is the honest catch: this is an afternoon-into-evening outing, not a morning one, and preschoolers may fade before the telescopes come out after dark.
