Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park

About

Playground • Outdoor • Free

Thorpe Park is Flagstaff's largest city park: 219 acres on North Thorpe Road, with two playgrounds (one for toddlers, one for ages 3+), a disc golf course, tennis courts, softball fields, a basketball court, a dog park, picnic tables, a water fountain, and access to FUTS trails. Entrance and parking are free. Restrooms are on site, dogs are welcome, and the park is wheelchair- and stroller-accessible from dawn to dusk. It works from toddlers through tweens. Courts and fields give older kids a reason to stay after playground time. Plan around the sun — shade is only partial, and 219 acres means a long walk between groves. The size is the gift and the catch.
