Lowell Observatory

At Lowell Observatory, you’ll find indoor exhibit spaces focused on space, planets, and astronomy. One of the main draws for families is the Astronomy Discovery Center, a large indoor facility with hands-on, interactive exhibits, a theater, and a rooftop planetarium. The youngest visitors have the Orbits Curiosity Zone, a sensory play area built for little ones.
Inside, you’ll find hands-on exhibits, space-themed activities, and areas where kids can explore at their own pace. The space is climate-controlled and works well on cold, rainy, or snowy days.
Lowell also includes indoor viewing areas, science exhibits, and presentations that rotate throughout the day.

Levitate is an indoor trampoline park with open jump areas, foam pits, game zones, and an arcade. The space is fully indoors and designed for active play, which makes it a common choice on rainy or snowy days.
You’ll find different jump times depending on age and ability. To avoid the bigger jumper, go during Little Levitators (6 and under only). It’s every Tuesday & Thursday 10:00 am -12:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am - 10:00 am. For kids with restrictions or sensory sensitivities, “Special Features” hour is every Saturday from 9:00 am - 10:00 am.

Paint-Your-Own Pottery at Book Nest
